Another year older

I feel like I haven't blogged in forever! I'm just so busy these days and my time to sit and reflect has gone way down. It's all good though, I'm pretty happy being ridiculously busy.

The big 2-6 came and went. Of course it wasn't without it's own set of drama, but otherwise it was pretty awesome. The lake party was good, and celebrating with Ryan during the week was fantastic, and yesterday at Paul's wedding, I got to stand up while everyone sung to me, which was so nice of Paul and Tamzen. (You, see I own July 5th) Ryan also got me some beautiful gerbra daisies in Swan River.

I usually take the time out every year on my bday to reflect on the past years events and my thoughts on turning older. This post won't disappoint. I think I've really matured in the last year. I think I'm figuring out more where I want my career to be and my sunny outlook on life has returned. It evaded me for a couple years there. My patience, internal calmness and diplomacy has also returned. I've mended fences, burned bridges and de-cluttered my life in the last year. All for the best. A new relationship really surprised me and it's bringing back feelings I'd never thought I'd have again and creating new ones I didn't even know existed. There's just such a peaceful quality about my life right now, I'm trying not to take it for granted and slow down and enjoy it. I welcome 26 and hope that it carries on the tone that I set in 25.

Eloquently put Candice. I think it's important to always step back once in awhile and try to figure out what's happened in the past and what you want to happen in the future and put it all into perspective.
