There's been so much going on, I haven't had time to turn around and reflect.
Friday I had a good visit with Enobong, we went to the Barking Fish and she stayed at my place. I tried a cheesecake martini and it was delicious.
Saturday I bought a new bike. It's red and a mountain bike. I bought a cruiser but realized I really liked the whole mountain biking thing, you can go faster and farther on one. So I took the cruiser back and got a mountain bike. I went biking last night for a good hour, over on the other side of the river past Gabriel Dumont Park, there are lots of gravel biking paths on undeveloped river front, it was pretty neat.
Saturday Afternoon, Darrell made sushi and we took it to the beach and had a picnic. We went to Blackstrap Lake. I went all the way in the water, yeah it was a little cold but it was +30 out that day, so it all kinda evened out. Played some frisbee in the water and had ice cream at the concession. It was such a fun day. Then headed over to Barbara and Brant's for a BBQ and fire. It was nice to see Barbara before she left for New York, for a couple weeks, I'll miss her.
Then on Sunday Dave moved in. Dave's living with me for 3 months while he's working at Environment Canada. I thought this might be a big adjustment, I always thought of myself as being unable to live with someone else, especially a male someone else, but a week has almost past and we haven't gotten on each others nerves yet. I think it's because he's clean, I leave my place and I come back and everything is the way I left it, if not cleaner. My experience, living with a guy, is that I leave the house clean and then come back to find mini disaster areas all over, which makes me upset right after work. I just kinda thought that's what living with a guy was all about, but Dave is restoring my faith in man kind or rather debunking my theory that I'm a person who is unable to live with anyone.
Tuesday was Darrell's convocation. I spent the afternoon at Centenniel Auditorium, I refuse to call it TCU Place, watching the ceremonies. He got his Master of Science in Engineering. His Mom and Sis came from Regina for the event. You can see the pictures at my picture site. We went to the Keg for supper and I actually ate a steak. Yes me, I had a giant steak and it was good. Only because I was covered in 3 cheese sauce and crab. Oh so delicious.
Yesterday's ball game got cancelled and that was sad, I was looking forward to playing.
And now on to the weekend events, I dunno what's planned, but I could sure use a nap after all this, whew!
