I was there for you when you were down,
I thought if I were cheery, I could pick us both up

I tried my best to make everything right.
Your problems became my problems and I worried for the both of us

I started to ignore myself and just trusted I was on the right path.
I tried to fix everything for the both of us

I stumbled and fell.
I was hoping that you'd do the same for me as I did for you.


But instead you piled more and more of you on top of me
And I couldn't recover, I couldn't get up.

I no longer could be happy for both of us
I no longer could worry for both of us
I no longer could fix things for both of us
I couldn't get up.

I learned I could worry for me +1
I learned I could fix me +1
I had to crawl out from under the pile. 1+1+1+1........

And here I am again.
