Valentine's day came and went. I baked cookies for everyone as per usual and sent Heather some flowers. But I wasn't really expecting anything in return. I had plans to for supper with my Dad, and to watch Juliet, Shannon's daughter, with Paul, Darrell and Ryan in the evening. Of course I got a candy heart from my Dad with caramel hershey kisses, mmmm caramel. And I got a really nice valentine from Darrell. He had replaced the chocolates in a heart shaped box with some of my fav salty snacks and altered an xkcd cartoon as a valentine. It was really sweet and made my day.

So for a holiday that I wasn't really looking forward to, it was one of the most memorable I've had. I even found myself giggling uncontrollably when the lady that sits behind me had a barbershop quartet surround her and start singing a sappy love song.
We had girls night last night at Chianti's with Barbara and Toni. Toni's man sent her some huge long stem roses and a vase at work, and Brant lost Barbara's valentine, but is making it up this weekend. Too funny.
