Social Butterfly

Holy man, have I been a social butterfly lately. I can't really remember when I last vegged on my couch by myself at home. I'm not complaining, I'm busy but fun busy and that's what it's all about.

This weekend was lots of fun. Heather came in from Regina and I dragged her to all the Saskatoon events. Friday night we went to the Pat nightclub for $1 highballs and $3 mini pitchers, where I enjoyed 12 drinks. We did some speaker dancing, the ever smooth brush off the creepy guy by dancing away move. Shannon and Alyssa decided to have a competition to see how many asses they could grab, I wonder who won? From here we went to Crackers for karaokee, I actually got up to sing with Shannon. By all means we shouldn't have got our song played, we got there too late, but we worked our magic on the dj, a 40 year old guy with a curly mullet. Once the karaokee was over it was time to stop at 7-11, I was so hungry! But people refused to let me out of the car, so I went head first over 2 people to get out of the back seat and smoothly turned myself upright to get out. I'm sure others would agree on the smoothness of this move ;) Then I bought taquitos for all, even though they wouldn't let me out, that's some good revenge, take that jerks.

Saturday we went shopping. I didn't really buy anything, I'm not too impressed with the spring line this year. I like colours in spring and everything seems to be black, white and brown. Oh well, I think I have enough spring clothes anyways so it's for the best. I did, however, buy a new black belt, that looks like my old black belt, except it's not falling apart and the holes aren't ripped. You have no idea how long it takes to come across a basic black belt, it was insane. Some Regina friends were in town for the Billy Talent concert so I had supper with them at Fuddruckers.

Saturday night Heather and I went to Barbara and Brant's for a board game night. We played Marry,Date or Dump and Scene It Squabble. I was on my game for Scene it. The girl team won all the games of Scene it again. This prompted Brant to clean off the board of anything that would scatter, and flip it agrily in frustration. Like tipping the chess board but taking all those pesky pieces that could make a mess off. Ha, ha, Barbara trained him well. I found out Steve and Marnie are moving 2 blocks away from me, and their apartment has a pool. Toni's boy got really drunk, while playing pool he wasn't even aiming for the right balls or in the right direction sometimes. It was pretty funny.

Sunday we tried to meet the concert goers for brunch, but the plans were changed and rearranged so many times and we were hungry while we were trying to figure out where they were and what exactly they were doing, so we went to Denny's. I had Moons Over my Hammy, the name is still funny sober. Usually we go there after the bar and I end up ordering it because it just sounds ridiculous. Sunday afternoon, I putzed around with the computer, got sidetracked by Monopoly Tycoon, played some raquetball and hot tubbed. I also made it over the Y to do some weights. As I was leaving I noticed people gathering in the class room, so I checked the drop in schedule and they were doing kickboxing. So I stayed for that. It was lots of fun. The choreography was pretty easy for me, I thank Billy Blanks for that, and I got a good workout.

Tonight the social butterfly continues, going for Sushi with Marshall, tomorrow is guitar hero night, wednesday is gymnastics. Thursday is usually a girls night but I might be okay staying home for a night. My couch is so comfy!

Work has been really sucking lately. I keep on getting more and more documentation. I was going to explode with frustration. But then this morning I got some code, yay! So I've been compiling and integrating and programming all morning. Now that's alot better. I do have to write a report on this when I'm done the code, but at least I have life line that's pulled me out of document frustration.
