This weekend was fun. Friday night I went to cabaret with Shannon. Shannon works here doing the same position as me in another department, we get along quite well. Shannon and I went to the Vanier Cup Cabaret at the fieldhouse on Friday. It was -30 C with the windchill that night. Shannon wore a miniskirt, because we thought we could just park the car in the lot outside of the fieldhouse and run in. But we found out that those lots were reserved for VIPs and Volunteers, the closest places to park were in the fieldhouse parkade, 3 blocks away or at the University Campus and shuttle across the street. We decided to see if we could shuttle across. They told us to park in the X,Y, Z lots at the university. But neither of us went to the UofS and the volunteers couldn't explain to us where these lots were so we ended up driving around the university campus trying to find these lots. We were hopeless, but a cop car just passed us. Shannon honked at the car and it stopped. The cops were more than happy to help us find a place to park the car on campus and they gave us a ride from the car to the fieldhouse. We invited them in, but they said they'd be there later, on duty. So it was barely 9pm and we'd already gotten a ride in a cop car.
The cabaret was alright. It wasn't worth the money we paid. There were 3 bands that maybe played 2 hours of music total. And no DJ in between bands, this was supposedly a 10 hour cabaret. Plus there were no cheap drinks! Drinks were $5 each by ticket, and there was no deal if you bought more tickets. But we had good company with the work guys. Paul's friend was hitting on me. But I wasn't really into him, he was kinda arrogant. It was kinda fun making excuses to get away from him though. Some old dudes were trying to dance with me and Shannon on the dance floor. We giggled and then literally ran away. Poor old dudes.
Saturday, I had a party at the condo. Went shopping all day with the girls, Barbara, Toni and Shannon. We had a giggle fit about some of the outfits in La Vie En Rose, at one point in time we had all 5 sales ladies in the back with us to see what all the giggling was about. Then at night we ended up going to The Pat. It was crammed in there. I guess some guys were trying to pick a fight with Marshall. But I got some speaker dancing in, and fun was had. The Pat is a couple blocks away from my place so it was a nice walk home and most people slept at my place. Sunday was a very very fun recovery day. And this week I'm tired. All the above takes alot out of a person. I'm not 19 anymore where I could stay at the Owl til 2 or 3 and get up at 7 to work at Superstore at 8.
I'm old. In fact I decided that next year I will turn 24 again. Kinda feel like I missed out on a year. Plus I don't want to be a quarter century old. Therefore I will be 24 again in July 2007.

This Tea Smells and Tastes Like Shoes
I was adventurous and tried a new tea this morning. The title says it all. Stay away from the Black Oolong Tea. I should of known, who drinks Oolong, really!
Decided to have a party this weekend. The title of the party is called "Candice and Shannon's Release into the Wild". Shannon has been going through alot of the same things I have, we decided it was a good idea to have a party. We've got all the boys at work all riled up and ready to join in as well. My bedroom door will be barricaded and everything should be fine ;) I'll keep ya updated on all the mishaps!
SaskTel is not making my life easy. I went down there today to get some administrative things done and I'm pretty sure they are still confused. Not very impressed. I'm going to have to phone and see if they actually changed everything I wanted or not and if I do infact have an install date for Max HD. I don't know why it's so hard for them to understand I don't have a home phone, just a cell phone. Yarrrrgh! But I do enjoy Max, Movie Central on Demand is so awesome.
Heather is coming this weekend. Looking forward to that. We'll have to find some trouble. Maybe trouble will find us.
I spent last weekend in Regina. I enjoyed being home. There's so many new things around there. Like new traffic lights and stop signs. Took a tour of the new Peavy Mart parking lot, how dare they put a light there. Spent some time at the lake too. Nice to do that.
I'm thinking of building a media server with my P4. I can stream music and movies from there to the living room. Could be exciting. It needs a rebuild anyways. Too much installing and uninstalling of junk went on with it. I'll let you know when I'm feeling adventurous enough to attempt that.

Britney, Whitney, Reese and I, what do we have in common?
So cold in here today. I don't know what the deal is. I have on winter boots, a tank top, a sweater, another sweater and a coat, and I'm still cold!
I had a really weird dream last night. That I went to the Mall of America with all the girls from high school for a bachelorette party. ( I don't know why I knew it was the Mall of America, since I've never been there ) Somehow I think it was my bachelorette party, but it didn't make any sense. Everyone kept on handing me gifts, which I kept on passing off. Finally I ended up wandering off and found a chocolate 'bar' where I ordered a molten chocolate lava cake. The guy making the dessert was so nice and preparing it just so. Then someone came in the bar and startled everyone and I ended up knocking the cake on the floor. I then picked the cake up off the floor and started eating it, instead of asking for another.
I think, perhaps, that it's saying that I should stop trying so hard to please everyone, otherwise you're going to end up eating cake off the floor. (ewwwww....floor cake) Any suggestions?

Hangover gone, week here, yay
Ugh! This weekend, so much drama, so busy, so relaxing, so exciting. Yeah, so every emotion, or event, I could possibly feel was felt on the long weekend.
I had the friday off, so I thought I'd kick off the weekend thursday night on the Physics student's pubcrawl. There was a beer night kickoff to it at the double deuce, so Toni and I got ready at my place and bused ourselves down there. I was in my dancing clothes waiting to have a good time. All the guys from work were there, I was excited. But the first person I saw when I walked in the bar was Dan. So that wasn't good. My plans quickly changed to a drunken board game night with Paul, Chad and Carol. Which was lots of fun. Lots of drinks were had. We met up with Toni and Blair after the pubcrawl at the Hose. Toni and I got the dancefloor to ourselves for a while. We then ended up cabbing to Dino's, had a couple more drinks and shots until last call and called it a night. Apparently the pubcrawl wasn't very good, so I'm glad I didn't go. Toni said she barely got any dancing time in and it was rushed.
Friday morning was pretty rough, but I had made a speedy recovery by noon. Enough to go shopping! I bought myself a pair of knee high winter boots, they have fake fur on them! They are so awesome and comfy, I was pretty excited. I ran a bunch of errands here downtown. Friday night there were a couple get togethers, with more drinking. And again Saturday morning was pretty rough. Saturday night I ended up watching a couple movies on the monster tv. I ended up falling asleep on my inflatable furniture. I was somehow perfectly balanced on it, because when I woke up, it flipped. Oh inflatable furniture! My real furniture comes today. And Sunday I had a nice relaxing visit with Barbara and Moose. So this weekend was nice but busy.
Now I'm sitting around waiting for my furniture. Yay furniture! It's sooooooo comfy. It's a chenille covered couch, loveseat and chair. It's like a goldy tan/brown colour. It should look really good in here. All I need are some purple throw pillows and I'm set. Movie nights at my place will become the norm.
I also finally figured out my stereo and tv. Apparently there was a setting on the tvs sound that wasn't allowing the stereo to pickit up. After I finally found that menu setting, I knew there had to be one somewhere, I can play Katamari in surround sound on a 51" TV. Life is truly sweet.
This week looks fairly busy at work. I'm going to have to stay late today and make up some of the time that I'm here waiting for furniture to come. The weekend is also looking promising, although I'm not posting my exact plans, you will hear about it next week.

Star Mile
Artist: Joshua Radin Lyrics
Song: Star Mile Lyrics
Oh doubt in the girl by your side
She’s feeding your pride
As you go for a ride down the star mile
Worlds arise as she lets you come in
A duo begins
To the Hollywood din of lonely
Chorus:
And all the gold dust in her eyes won’t reform into rain
You had and lost the one thing
You kept in a safe place
Remember the face
Of the girl who made you her own
And how you left her alone
All’s well at the base of the hill
You might need to fill
a prescription to kill off the silence.
Look down from your tower on high and take in the night
Look her right in the eye
She’ll listen
(Chorus)
Life comes to those that are true
The regular news
Over playing the blues with the light on
And if you burn the road that’ll lead you back to her in time
I'll watch you turn to stone
Can’t find the sublime
She’s moving on without you
The tide breaks
You watch the stars fade
They gather you back to their home
I guess it’s better than being alone

Turkeyfest etc.
It's been a while since I posted. I didn't want to put anything on here that I would regret or hurt anyone's feelings. From now on I'm going to look forward and try not to look backwards. Well when blog writing anyways. I'm sorry if I offend anyone with my posting but ultimately it's your own choice to read, and these are my feelings, you can't argue with feelings.
Enough of this disclaimer stuff. Let's get on to the weekend. This weekend was a blast. Nothing to get your mind off things than a girly night at Barbara's house and cuddling with her cat. The wine helped too. Then Saturday, I started setting up my new tv. I need some new cables still but it's pretty much good to go. It's huge and takes up alot of room. It's pretty awesome. Then in the afternoon I went over to Kevin's to help him with Turkeyfest. Kevin had all the work people over to his house to deep fry a turkey. He wanted side dishes so I helped him and Blair prepare those. The turkey turned out pretty good. The skin was really good! Then there was lots of GameCube playing, lots of 8 player games on there, lots of fun. Then there was some drama, I'll leave that out, but it was funny. Lots of nudity. We got pics, I'll link to here later.
I saw my therapist today. A couple weeks ago I thought it would probably be a good idea, and I think it has been. My confidence and ego has been a little bruised through this whole ordeal. So she had me write down some traits about myself that I was most proud of and I'm supposed to concentrate on one of them each day this week and go out of my way to express it in some manner. So today's trait is compassion. So I'm supposed to listen to someone's troubles and give advice, or help someone out at work who wouldn't normally ask for help, or do something nice for someone or ideally all those and more. I'll keep ya updated on how it goes. Tomorrow's trait is self confidence. I'll let ya know when I get sick of all these too. For now I think it's a good idea.
So to summarize, I'm okay, there's no need to worry about me. I'll have good days and bad days, but everyone has those.
Feel free to leave me comments on my blog, there's a button underneath, especially if you think there's questionable content, I'm not the best judge of that right now, but I think I'm doing fairly well.
