Went on my trip to Calgary for the long weekend. It was everything I thought it could be! I slept so well on the weekend. Barbara and I shared an airmattress, so I didn't get kicked or elbowed in the face, it was sooooo nice. Brett's new condo is really nice, there was plenty of room there. I was expecting some sort of box hell, like when I moved, but he seems to be more organised, or has less stuff. He was a good host.
We did 8 1/2 hours of shopping on the weekend. Saturday we went to Signal Hill and to the Chinook mall. I bought myself some work tops that are comfy and warm. For once I didn't need pants! Thank you Tall Girl store in Saskatoon. Barbara did the pants dance, she found a few pairs but tried on over 100. Sunday we hit up Ikea. We spent 3 hours there and I didn't even get my TV stand. Oh well. I picked up little things for the condo, if we really want the tv stand, we're going to edmonton in a couple weeks, I guess. I felt bad for John though. We made him carry all of our stuff in Ikea. Our arms and shoulders were full. He must of been bored out of his mind, but I appreciated the help. I ended up getting a new duvet and cover the spare bed, some pictures, some bathroom stuff and a dining room table centerpiece, so I did pretty good over all.
I stuffed my face full of sushi, literally, until it would not go down into my stomach anymore. We went to the sushi bbq place. So non sushi lovers could have korean bbq. It worked really well. I ate so much! Also ate at the Olive Garden for lunch. I just had the soup, salad and breadsticks. Really, if I order a meal, I usually fill up on the above and can't eat my meal. So it worked out well.
Sunday night we were a little pooped so we bought some grocery store pizzas and cheap liquor ( 6 coolers for $8) and had a classic high school night. We played trapped and sociables, got really drunk and decided to go terrorize the neighborhood. John ended up rolling down a hill and into the gutter on to the street, Barbara rolled down a hill and got a sprikler in the boob, I decided to scale a fence and bruised and sliced my wrist pretty good. Only Brett got away with no injuries.
It was a good and much needed trip. I'm exhausted today, but my mind is rested and I feel much more calm. I drank alot, spent alot of money and did stupid stuff. At least I didn't ruin my memories of Calgary. Now back to work....
