My quest for a running top
So I'm going to the gym tonight. I thought to myself, gee it would be nice if I bought a new running top, I only have 1 right now. Since I work downtown I thought I would go to Champs sports. You know a sporting store. Get this, they didn't have any ladies workout tops. Tshirts galore but not even a sports bra or sports top in sight! And get this, they didn't even have work out pants! What kind of sports store is this? I had the same experience in Sport Chek 2 weeks ago. I thought gee it would be nice to have a new workout top. They had at least 2 different styles but not a small in sight. Also they had skater clothes galore in all types of styles. Is it too much to ask that sport stores sell sport equiptment and not style street clothes? I think there are enough of the latter stores around. Oh well, to the running room after work for me I guess.

Pre-School Teacher: What does your Dad do? Me 4 years old: He makes money
It's Friday today. Normally it's a quiet day at work for me. Not today. I got about a million (10) phone calls today about a meeting I'm chairing next week. Email people! Check your e-mail. Then there are people who want to have this meeting next week but can't attend anytime next week and then think it's my problem. Yes I'll have another meeting next week but you're not available Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday or Friday? How is this my problem? I think I've resolved a happy medium on this but you never know.
The weekend is here. I was looking forward to something relaxing but it doesn't look like it. Apparently I'm all booked up until Sunday afternoon. I was thinking to myself if all I did was sleep on Saturday, I would consider it a productive day, that's how tired I am from this week. Oh well, maybe I'll reschedule my sleeping to Sunday afternoon. You know life in insane if you have to actually schedule in extra sleep.
I'm trying to stay away from the mall too. They have all the spring clothing lines out. I love spring clothing. Unfortunately in Saskatchewan I won't be able to wear any of it until June and be a reasonable temperature. So my coping mechanism is to stay away from the mall. We'll maybe I'll hit it for coffee this afternoon. Sigh, I'll never be able to do it.

My washing machine does not work

I bought a cd yesterday, a dance cd from a collection that usually releases really good dance cds. Well this one was bad, really really bad. There's this one song on the album that has a random techno beat called "My Washing Machine". The lyrics are "My Washing Machine does not work. Someone funked up my Washing Machine! Fuuuuuuunnnnk!" Now imagine grover on acid perplexed why his washing machine does not work. Now you have the tone of this singing. I went into a giggle fit at work yesterday when I heard it. It so reminds me of that strongbad cartoon where he makes the random techno hit and then adds the words "The System is Down".
James burnt me a good cd. It's got the Katamari soundtracks on there among various other really good albums. I told James I should have just given my $20 to him yesterday instead of HMV.
Tonight I'm helping Heather stuff envelopes. That should be fun. Tomorrow I get to go for sushi! I love sushi! I'm going to try the new place on Quance St. with Marshall, it's called Wasabi. I imagine it's not going to be as good as Hanabi on Broad St. but I could be wrong.
Brett is coming this weekend! That's exciting. I had a dream the other night that I was pushing Brett around in a wheelchair in an HMV that was a library, and then he got up and folded the chair and put it in a wardrobe on the wall. If anyone can interpret that one for me, I'd like to know what it means.

They'll take over the world! Or the UofR anyways....
I love my job. Today I was informed that I could chair a couple meetings in Saskatoon. I might even be able to stretch it out so that I'm in Saskatoon for a week. I don't mind spending a week in Saskatoon with my fiance. I think that's fantastic!
On Monday I decided that this would be my kickstart back to the gym and healthy eating. Well it's Wednesday and I've already blown that! Valentine's week is not the week to do that. I got some really good chocolate from my Dad, this morning we had a breakfast pizza in the meeting and I just had a can of pringles. I also decided to warm up into this week that I would play an hour of dance dance on Monday. Well an hour turned into two, I was doing really well, and then yesterday and today, I can't stretch out my calves. I've been hobbling around work and down the stairs. There goes my workout plan. Next week I'll start over, stretching, that's the key and all my chocolate should be gone by then ;)
Tomorrow I'm heading to Saskatoon again. It'll be nice to have a Friday off. I cherish them so. Not quite sure what the itinerary is for the weekend, but I'm sure it'll include some Caesars, that's all I can ask for. Ah weekend, why aren't you here? Maybe I'll go to the mall again, I found some amazing finds last weekend at Bryan's. I got a Mexx knit blazer for $10! Now I can be professional, stylish and comfy! It might even replace the peacock blue knit bunnyhug as my favorite item. I might go back.
Here's a good funny story from the weekend. Dan and I were at Midtown and the Bay was having an underwear sale. Since I was in dire need of Bras and La Senza and La Vie En Rose did not have my size, I dragged Dan into the underwear section. Again, frustrated that I couldn't find my size, I exclaimed to Dan, "Where do all the little chinese girls get their bras from?". Dan told me they must have got to the mall before me. Then he starts looking at a really high rack and finds my size. Dan exclaims "here you go! The little chinese girls couldn't reach this one!"

Buy this car to drive to work, drive to work to pay for this car
Friday, my favorite day! Work is actually pretty hectic here for a Friday, meaning that I have lots to do. There's one thing I'm supposed to do, but I forget what the heck I'm supposed to do! I'm kinda mad at myself, I should have wrote it down more clearly. No one is here on Friday's so I can't even ask. Even at that I'm pretty busy.
I'm going to take the bus to Saskatoon after work here. It's too snowy and icy to drive. That's kinda crappy, but I can take a 3 hour nap. That's the nice thing about the bus. I can get a ride home Sunday with James. Tomorrow I get to go to Midtown Plaza! I love Midtown, not too big, not too small, lots of stores with stuff that fits me. It's close to the trendy stores on 2nd avenue. Dan and I actually have some errands to run there. It'll be fun. Then Sunday we're getting together with Barbara and Brant. It should be a nice weekend.
I wish there was more to put in here. Not much has happened. I got sloshed Wednesday night. I had a horrible day at work. Phil had a horrible day too. So what cures that? Margaritas of course! We sat around and drank margaritas and complained, it was great. Since then I haven't been as mad. So it worked out. I had a little bit of a headache yesterday, but it was better than snapping at people at work. Now I'm fine.

manic tuesday!
So busy at work. I've got a stack of stuff to do that's about a mountain high. It's nice, but the pile never gets smaller, only bigger. Oh well, this place isn't notorious for it's deadlines anyways.
This week is exciting. My bridesmaid dress for Heather's wedding came in this week. I'm excited. I'll have to get it altered but it's a nice dress. I'm gonna see if they have the wedding dress I like in the magazine too. That's also exciting.
I've already completed my degree but the ceremony and pics are coming up. I'm picking out a class ring. I wasn't excited about all the grad stuff in high school. University Grad feels more like an accomplishment to me and not just hype about the ending of our so called "glory years". Whoever said high school was the best time of their life, led a sad sad life. I mean you're in HS until you're 17 or 18. Thats not even a 1/4 of your life over yet! You're telling me that the next 3/4 are going to suck? I don't think so. It's much better after HS, I think anyways.

MSN sucks!
Okay, so I don't get alot of time to sit down and check out other people's blogs but when I do, I don't want to see "MSN: This space is temporarily unavailable". I've sat down the last 3 times to read other people's spaces and I get this message. I'll be able to get to those spaces later in the day but then I don't have the time to read, I'm just curious about what the heck microsoft is doing. How can they run stuff like this that is always down and full of errors. That's why I don't use hotmail anymore. Any time I really really wanted to check my e-mail I usually had a similar error message. Or when I wrote an e-mail in hotmail and pressed send, there would be an error and I would lose my e-mail forever. I haven't had any of those problems since I switched to gmail and I haven't really seen any down time on blogger. What are those people at microsoft doing?
meow?
It's Thursday! Yay! I have tomorrow off which will be nice. I haven't had a day off where I wasn't tending to a family emergency in over a month! I'm excited, I get to go to the doctor tomorrow, hopefully schedule a hair appointment, all the fun things that you get to do on a day off.
I got a new computer and keyboard at work last week. I didn't like the keyboard so much because it's just placed so that I kill wrists. So I ordered an adjustable keybord tray, I can move it up and down and it has the ergonomic pads on it, but I can't seem to adjust it to a comfortable position. If the keyboard tray is too low then I can't cross my legs and if it's too high, I'm killing my wrists again. I can't seem to find a happy medium. It's annoying I've been adjusting it all day. I think it might just come down to the point where I find my old keyboard and plug it back in and forego the tray altogether.
I saw the Producers last night, with Phil, I love Mel Brooks. It was so funny, I recommend it. If you are a Will Ferrel fan then you have to go see it. That was the perfect role for him. Now the Gutten Tag Klop Klop song has been permanently stuck in my head. Yes it is a musical.
This weekend should be fun. Dan and I are going to go check out LutherLand to see if it meets our needs. And then we're going to go figure out how much it costs to rent all the stuff we need out there and to see if it's worth the trouble and the hastle. Other than that I think it will be a nice relaxing weekend. I'm looking forward to that. It'll be nice not to be on the highway this weekend. I'm a little tired of that drive to Saskatoon. Well when it's nice out I'll enjoy it again. I always enjoy being on the road with some good music cranked and the sunroof open. In the winter you have to pay so much attention to ice or animals. It's not a relaxing drive then.
