Travel plans foiled again........

So I had this plan to go to Mexico or the Dominican in January. Some of my Calgary friends were interested in going and I definitely wanted to go. I mean I finish school forever in a week here and my plan was to travel. I have the funds, I work fulltime and live at home still. It was perfect. So I planned vacation packages, one for the people in Calgary and one for the people in Regina so we could all meet in the Dominican and have a villa to ourselves on a nice resort. But then everyone pulled out! I should have known better to get myself all excited about a trip like this. I think we say every year, lets go on a vacation, lets go here. But it never happens. This year it was a reality though and a total let down. The only person that can still go, Phil, I can't go with! Dan can't go because he doesn't have the funds and I know he would have a problem if I went to the Dominican with my ex-boyfriend. So it totally sucks, I can go, Phil can go, but we can't go together! It's so frustrating. But what can I do? I'm stuck. I just don't think a tropical vacation by myself would be much fun.
